Edit #3: Formulate!

Many write as they speak and therefore use many words. But the important thing is the points. Therefore, compress the sentences so that they get to the point immediately.

It is always a good idea to put more periods. The writer wants to include it all in one sentence, and therefore many opinions appear in the same, long sentence.

The word "meaning" in my second mother tongue, Swedish, is the same as "sentence". There should be only one meaning per sentence. If there is a conjunction such as "and" or "but", the sentence can advantageously be split in two.

And then of course you have to know what a sentence is. It mainly consists of nouns and verbs. Who does what? Do not write: The meal was prepared by Svend. But: Svend prepared the meal. Think in headlines. Write sentences as statements.

Think about whether the words evoke images on the retina. Instead of: "The boy walked along the pavement" you can write "The boy strolled along the pavement". Words like "is", "can", "will", "do" and so on are called pale verbs because they do not create images.

Finally: It is a good idea to take a look at the whole year and assess: What should be the red thread of the magazine this year? What overall theme, what genres, what expression should the magazine have?

Make a plan for editing, setting up, printing and distribution. When will the magazine be published? Maybe up to an event where it can also be distributed. How long does printing, setup, editing take?

Set a deadline that gives you plenty of time to edit. Some always deliver at the last minute, some always ask for extra time. Include it in your planning so that you are not left with everything at the last minute!
